As the evenings are becoming darker and the air is becoming crisp it's time to cuddle up on the sofa with soft cushions, luxurious blankets, warm hot water bottles and cosy slipper socks as pretty tea lights flicker in the background. We've got lots of lovely new products for the new season as well as gorgeous gifts that won't break the bank, and don't forget we offer free P&P to all UK mainland customers.

We have also just received more stock of our beautifully carved fairtrade salad servers that were recently featured in Homes and Gardens magazine and there are more platters on the way. There's something for everyone and the best thing about Greenstead Boutique is that all of our products are ethically sourced. At Greenstead Boutique we work with British designers to bring you completely refreshing products that are exclusive to us and we champion British crafts people. Our collaboration with George Johnson, a young British carpenter, has resulted in a selection of beautiful hand turned lamps. George makes the lamps, designed specifically for us to reflect our Greenstead style, in his workshop in Kent. The bases are solid ash and they are finished with a chalky off-white paint that is carefully spray applied so as not to mask the natural wood grains. These lamps are made-to-order and we are limiting the run to 50 of each design. If you like our hand-crafted lamps by George, support British craft by buying one at http://www.greensteadboutique.co.uk/  We are currently on the look-out for talented designers and makers for a new range of lampshades and prints. I was so pleased to read the lovely article about Greenstead Boutique's recent launch on Red online when I awoke on Wednesday morning. I am a massive fan of Red magazine and the online lifestyle website is a fantastic source of inspiration and information for interiors, travel, fashion and food. According to Red online, Greenstead is "..a treasure trove of unique, hand-crafted and stylish home accessories that won’t be found on the high street, Greenstead Boutique is the perfect place to find great gifts, or to treat yourself to a little something to update your home."

There's something so reassuring about a soft, well-loved antique linen that just makes me want to fill my whole home with it at the moment. Many of the cushion covers out there are a bit fussy, with frills, buttons and overlaps but ours, which I have designed in collaboration with British seamstress Lou Weir, are crisp and clean. The linen is so characterful anyway there's no need to add extra detailing and this way you can happily throw different stripes and colours together for a really fresh and effortless look.

We're half way through the Greenstead photo shoot and we're really pleased with the results so far. Our new range of rustic hand-made ceramics are going to go down a storm. You might have seen an article in this month's Elle Decoration featuring how to mix old and new and the new wave of hand-made ceramics that are creeping into fashion again. The range that we've pulled together for Greenstead is very on trend with it's gentle grey hue, split-glaze and chunky detail. The great thing about these wonderful pieces, hand-made in Scotland by a local ceramicist, is how easily they sit alongside more fragile jugs and vases that you might already have. The modern era of decoration and design is about housing your own eclectic collection and mixing everything to reflect your own personality and tastes. Check out our new rage of split-glaze stoneware at our online boutique http://www.greensteadboutique.co.uk/ and get 15% off your first order when you subscribe to our mailing list.
